I have been to the iRecovery place by Palm Springs, California plus the iRecover Serenity Ranch in Alberta, Canada many times and it keeps improving every time i go up there.They have a awesome well trained staff and they really do care and want to help in any way they can. They will teach you a lot about the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. But more important they give you the tools you need to deal with yourself and the troubles of everyday life. That is all in doing and living the 12 steps. They will also show you the need for meetings and the fellowship, it's about you taking action.
