I went to the American Indian Clinic for help. I am on Medi/Medi as result of an industrial accident. I had dental issues I couldn't afford. Following a lead I was referred to the American Indian Clinic. I have now had two incisors extracted and was very pleased with the care I recieved. So phase three was to come again to do an impression to prepare for an amendment of two teeth to my partial. I set out to  arrange funds to cover the cost of $240.00 per tooth. I was also told there was a process whereby I could present my SS Award letter for discount. I was told discount could not be calculated by faxing my award letter but in person. I needed to and then did personally present it and wait while the clinic figured if any discount was in order. I was then called up to front desk to get results. The young woman explained using inner office forms for visual that my discount would translate from $240.00 per ammended tooth to $180.00 for a total of $360.00 and she wrote it down with billing designation as D5650 $180.00 D5650 $180.00 Total.   $360.00 And she wrote it in her own handwriting(see post it pic) They call today to confirm my appointment I said I would be there. Then just for my confirmation I say I will be bringing the amount I was told was my new fee of $360.00. The young woman calling to confirm said oh I don't have that information please hold. When she came back on she said no that's our mistake the lady gave me the wrong amount because she miscategorized me in the wrong discount level. I said I hope they will honor the amount I was told and raised from family and friends but stopped at $360. and to be told the afternoon before that they were wrong and the amount I was given and raised by swallowing my pride and stopped asking because the amount was met but that is not the correct amount it's $60.00 more. So after my protest they said they would bring it to a supervisors attention and get back to me. I was by no means expecting things to work in my favor. However I got the call and they said they would honor the price they quoted me originally. In addition to quality care, that's quality care with integrity. Priceless! Thank you to everyone at American Indian Health Clinic Santa Barbara as well for your patience and understanding ❤ Satisfied Customer, Matthew Barron 🤓👍

My children are now grown adults. They loved the intern that works there. I can't remember his name. He has a great attitude and I liked the way he spoke to my kids. He was the best.

The doctor that saw my son was absolutely amazing. I was having a rough day and she was just so understanding it put me at ease. The receptionist is very rude and unprofessional though. The doctor was so great though that I still gave them 5 stars

I have been to the medical side and the dental side, and both were great! The staff is always very friendly and caring. I never have to wait very long in the waiting rooms. The medical and dental attention that I get is both professional and I don't feel like "one of the cattle" like I have felt at other, private facilities.

I also take my kids to this clinic, I have had horrible experiences with the female doctor. So now I schedule with the other doctors in the clinic. They are great with my kids and I continue to go there. The male doctor is also great with my husband who has severe anxiety about going to clinics.
